Cattie Adhesives manufactures a full line of Water-Based Adhesives, Cohesives and Dextrins.
Our Water-Based Adhesives, Cohesives and Dextrins can be Custom Formulated to meet specific application requirements for Viscosity, Color, Tak, Set Speed, Bond Strength, Lay-Flat properties and other performance standards such as Heat or Cold Resistance, Water resistance, UV resistance and Plastisizer migration resistance.
Our Water-Based Resin adhesives, also called " White Glues" can be formulated to be very Strong, Fast Setting and bond to a variety of porous and non-porous substrates including UV, Clay Coated and SBS Papers, Films, Foils, Woods, Plastics, Corrugated material, Coated board and Vinyl.
Water-Based Adhesives are manufactured using Homopolymers, Copolymers, Acrylic, Latex-natural and synthetic, PVOH and other polymers and additives; which are then dispersed with water.
Water-based adhesive technology requires that the water be absorbed or evaporated in order for the adhesive bond to occur. Once the water is gone; the molecules of the adhesive form a strong final bond between the substrate materials.

Cohesives, also called " Cold Seal Adhesives" are designed to stick to themselves; the Cohesive is applied to each surface to be bonded together and then Dried. The final bond is not created until the two Dried surfaces make contact again.
Our Cohesives are "100% water-based" with no VOCs and can be Custom Formulated to be FDA Compliant for Direct and Indirect Food and Skin Contact.

Water-Based Adhesive and Cohesive products are packaged in: 5 gallon pails, 30 gallon drums, 55 gallon drums, 250 gallon tote-bins and tank wagons.
Products can be applied by Brush, Roller, Wheel, Cold-Glue Extrusion Systems or by Spray application.
Our Dextrin-Based Glues, also called "Brown Glues", are mixed with other additives and starches. These glues are used on a variety of porous surfaces.
Dextrin based glues are not as resistant to water as water-based PVA resins; Dextrin-based adhesives usually have a Slower set time.
They are a great choice for many Laminating applications and generally a Lower cost alternative and clean up better than water-based resins.
Our Dextrin-Based Adhesives are:
- Medium/Fast setting.
- Good penetration for porous materials.
- Resistant to heat and/or cold.
- High tack (wet) and high solids.
- Used on wood, corrugated, coated board, vinyl and a variety of substrates.
