Bulk Hot Melt Bulk Hot Melt

Our Bulk Hot Melts are used in many industries for higher volume adhesive bonding and assembly processes.  In general, High speed, Automatic packaging and assembly applications require Lower Viscosity, Faster Setting Hot Melts.  Large Surface Area Bonding requires a Higher Viscosity, Slower Setting Hot Melt Adhesive.

Our Bulk hot melts are available in a variety of shapes including chips, pellets and small granules.

Our Bulk hot melts are packaged in 25lb, 35lb and 50lb boxes- 1350lbs /pallet, 55 gallon drums, Super Saks and tote bins.

There are several Hot Melt Dispensing options available, depending on the volume output of adhesive needed for the assembly process.  The most common way to apply Bulk hot melt is by using a Hot Melt Dispensing Unit . The Hot Melt Unit includes a heated reservoir to which solid hot melt adhesive is added.  Molten adhesive in this reservoir is pumped through heated hoses to either a handheld Hot Melt Glue Gun  or automatic applicator heads.  Other Bulk Hot Melt applicators have a heated grid on which the solid adhesive is placed.  The adhesive melts and flows through the grid into a small reservoir which holds a pump.

For adhesives supplied as solid blocks in pails or drums, heated platens are available that melt the top few inches of adhesive that is in contact with the platen.  An inlet in the center of the platen allows molten adhesive to flow into a pump.  Handheld applicators at the end of the heated hose are used to dispensing adhesive in bead or spray.  Automatic applicator heads can be used to dispense beads or ribbons in a variety of patterns or spray the adhesive for bonding large areas.  Bulk hot melt adhesives can also be applied using a roll coater with heated rolls.
